Job Description
Overview We are seeking a Service Technician to join our automotive service team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge and experience in automotive repair, specifically with GM vehicles. This role requires a strong understanding of powertrain systems, schematics, and the ability to provide exceptional customer service. As a GM Service Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing complex vehicle issues while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair automotive systems, focusing on powertrain components and related systems. Interpret schematics to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues effectively. Utilize auto estimating software to provide accurate repair estimates for customers. Perform maintenance and repairs on GM vehicles, ensuring adherence to manufacturer specifications. Use hand tools and welding equipment safely and effectively in various repair tasks. Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly with clients regarding repairs and maintenance needs. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored after use. Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques through ongoing training. Skills Proficient in automotive repair with a focus on powertrain systems. Strong ability to read and interpret schematics for troubleshooting purposes. Experience with auto estimating software for accurate repair assessments. Knowledge of GM vehicles and their specific repair requirements is highly desirable. Proven experience as a service technician in an automotive environment. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients. Proficient in using hand tools and welding equipment safely. Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work.
