00 per hour, based on experience Turn Your Automotive Knowledge Into a Career Do you enjoy working on cars and trucks, solving mechanical problems, and helping people find the right answer? Are you interested in staying in the automotive industry but looking for an opportunity to use your knowledge in a different way? South Bend Clutch is looking for a motivated individual to join our team. This is not a traditional call center position. You will work directly with our customers, dealers, distributors, and repair shops to answer questions about our products, vehicle applications, installation, troubleshooting, and warranty concerns. South Bend Clutch manufactures a large and highly specialized line of clutch products. There is a lot to learn, and we do not expect someone to know everything on their first day. We are looking for someone with mechanical aptitude, strong communication skills, a willingness to learn, and the motivation to eventually become a trusted technical resource for our customers. Automotive experience is strongly preferred, but we are willing to invest in training the right person. What You Will Do Answer incoming customer and dealer phone calls Respond to customer and dealer emails Help customers identify the correct clutch kit for their vehicle and intended use Answer product fitment and application questions Assist customers with installation and troubleshooting questions Help work through clutch, transmission, and drivetrain-related concerns Assist with warranty and product evaluation situations Support our nationwide dealer and distributor network Research vehicle applications and technical information Document customer conversations and maintain accurate records Work with our sales, production, shipping, and technical teams to resolve customer issues Continually develop your knowledge of South Bend Clutch products and automotive applications What We Are Looking For The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys automotive technology, solving problems, and communicating with people. You may be a great fit if you have: Automotive repair or mechanical experience Strong mechanical aptitude An interest in cars, trucks, diesel vehicles, or performance vehicles Good verbal and written communication skills The ability to comfortably speak with customers by phone Strong problem-solving skills Basic computer skills and the ability to learn new software Strong attention to detail A dependable work history A self-motivated attitude The ability to work independently without constant supervision A willingness to continually learn new products and technical information Preferred Experience The following experience is helpful but is not required: Professional automotive repair experience Clutch replacement or diagnosis Manual transmission experience Drivetrain or driveline repair Diesel truck experience Performance or modified vehicles Automotive parts sales Automotive technical support or customer service Do not let a lack of specific clutch experience keep you from applying. If you have a strong mechanical background, enjoy learning, and are comfortable helping people, we are willing to train the right candidate. What Makes Someone Successful in This Position We are looking for someone who does more than simply answer the phone. A successful person in this position will want to understand the customer's problem, ask the right questions, research the situation when necessary, and work toward finding the correct solution. Our product line is extensive and takes time to learn. We are looking for someone who is curious, self-motivated, patient, and willing to put in the effort required to become knowledgeable. This position can be an excellent opportunity for someone with automotive experience who wants to continue using their mechanical knowledge without working on vehicles every day. Schedule Full-Time, On-Site Position Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM About South Bend Clutch South Bend Clutch is a manufacturer of performance and replacement clutch systems serving customers, repair facilities, dealers, and distributors throughout the automotive industry. Our products are used in a wide variety of applications, from daily-driven vehicles and diesel trucks to performance and specialty builds. We have built our reputation around product knowledge, quality products, and helping customers select the right clutch for their specific vehicle and intended use.
