Job Description

Job Summary Walker's Motor Werks is looking for an experienced Automotive Technician who enjoys solving problems, takes pride in quality repairs, and would like to work in a professional shop specializing in European vehicles. You do not need to know every European brand or arrive with every possible certification. We are looking for someone with a solid automotive foundation, proven diagnostic and repair abilities, and a willingness to continue learning. If you are dependable, detail-oriented, and want to be part of a team that values good work, we would like to hear from you. Our shop services European vehicles, including Audi, BMW, Jaguar, Land Rover, Mercedes-Benz, MINI, Porsche, Volkswagen, and Volvo. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, electronic, and drivability concerns. Perform engine, transmission, steering, suspension, brake, cooling, HVAC, and emissions-system repairs. Use our on-site manufacturer-level and advanced aftermarket diagnostic equipment. Work with scan tools, wiring diagrams, technical service information, and manufacturer repair procedures. Inspect and road-test vehicles to identify customer concerns and verify completed repairs. Explain diagnostic findings and repair needs clearly to our service advisor. Document test results, repair procedures, labor time, and required parts accurately. Perform programming, coding, calibrations, and system resets when qualified and properly equipped. Care for customer vehicles, shop equipment, and your work area. Continue developing your knowledge of modern European vehicle technology. Skills Approximately 3-5 years of professional automotive repair experience. Demonstrated ability to diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical problems. Experience with European vehicles is preferred, but we will consider strong technicians who are interested in expanding their European automotive skills. A practical understanding of modern vehicle electronics, control modules, sensors, and computerized diagnostic systems. Ability to interpret wiring diagrams, test results, and technical repair information. Familiarity with scan tools and diagnostic equipment such as digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, and pressure or vacuum testing equipment. A valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record. A professional set of automotive hand tools. The ability to perform the physical responsibilities of the position, with reasonable accommodations when needed. ASE certifications, manufacturer training, and European automotive experience are valuable, but they are not the only things we consider. We also value sound judgment, curiosity, consistency, and the ability to work well with others. If you meet most—but not every one—of the qualifications, we still encourage you to apply. What You Can Expect From Us Hourly compensation based on your experience, certifications, and demonstrated abilities. Dental and vision insurance. Paid time off and paid holidays. Paid training and certification assistance. Employee discounts on service and parts. Access to professional diagnostic equipment and technical information. A respectful, team-oriented work environment. Support as you continue building your European automotive knowledge. Clear communication and reasonable expectations for completing quality work. Schedule Monday - Friday 40 hours a week no weekends! Interested? Please apply by phone or text any questions to Doug at (317) 616-8293, or send a résumé or brief summary of your automotive experience. Tell us about the types of repairs you perform confidently, the diagnostic tools you have used, and any experience you have with European vehicles. We understand that skilled technicians come from different backgrounds. If you believe your experience could be a good fit, we would be glad to learn more about you.
