Job Description

Are you an experienced and skilled on a gas mechanic seeking a fulfilling opportunity in a family-owned and dynamic work environment? We are located in South Bend, IN , and are actively looking for a dedicated and talented individual from Warsaw, IN that can travel to the South Bend station or the New Haven station. We are a highly respected and fast-paced independent diesel repair facility, offering a rewarding work culture and a competitive compensation package.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include conducting oil changes, brake and rotor replacements, tire repairs, and diagnosing and repairing basic electrical system issues. Responsible for performing scheduled vehicle maintenance and light repair services. Maintain open communication with management, reporting mechanical repair issues as they arise. Ensure a clean, organized, and safe work bay environment. Utilize strong automotive mechanical diagnosis, problem-solving, and repair skills to deliver high-quality service. Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to a positive work atmosphere and efficient repair operations.
Benefits:
Company truck provided for transportation We cover all gas and maintenance for the vehicle. The pay range will be $900-$1100 weekly if they work a 6th day they would get an extra day added on.

Qualifications:
We are looking for someone who has experience working on gas engines and experienced with diesel technology. Must pass a background check (criminal), MVR check, past employment verification, and drug test. Strong automotive mechanical diagnosis, problem-solving, and repair skills. Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing various automotive systems, including brake and hydraulic, exhaust, fuel ignition, electrical, suspension and alignment, air conditioning, and computer systems. Effective communication skills to explain technical diagnoses and repairs to individuals with varying levels of technical knowledge.
