Job Description

Overview Shawnee Mission Kia is seeking a skilled and motivated Main Line Technician to join our growing service team. The ideal candidate will possess strong diagnostic and repair abilities, a commitment to quality workmanship, and a dedication to delivering exceptional customer satisfaction. As a Main Line Technician, you will perform vehicle diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs in accordance with Kia and dealership standards Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance services including oil changes, tire rotations, filter replacements, fluid services, and multi-point inspections. Conduct brake, battery, belt, hose, and basic suspension repairs. Inspect vehicles and identify maintenance needs or potential concerns. Accurately document vehicle inspections and repair recommendations. Maintain efficiency and productivity standards established by dealership management. Ensure all work is completed according to Kia and dealership quality standards. Assist Main Line and Master Technicians as needed. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Properly use and care for dealership tools, equipment, and shop facilities. Participate in manufacturer and dealership training programs. Qualifications Previous automotive maintenance or technician experience preferred. Automotive trade school education is a plus. Basic understanding of automotive systems and repair procedures. Ability to operate shop equipment and diagnostic tools safely. Strong work ethic and willingness to learn. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
