Whether working on routine maintenance or complex repairs, your hands-on approach and attention to detail will keep our customers' vehicles in top condition. Duties Conduct repairs and maintenance on various vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, powertrains, electrical systems, and diesel engines. Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical problems with precision. Repair or replace components such as belts, hoses, brakes, suspension parts, and powertrain elements to restore optimal vehicle performance. Execute wheel alignments and wheel balancing to ensure proper handling and tire longevity. Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other specialized automotive repair tools safely and effectively. Stay current with industry best practices, manufacturer updates (including GM vehicles), and emerging automotive technologies through ongoing training. Ensure all work complies with safety standards, quality control procedures, and environmental regulations. Skills Proven dealership experience or service technician experience demonstrating strong automotive repair skills. Extensive knowledge of automotive electrical systems, schematics interpretation, and diagnostics techniques. Mechanical knowledge complemented by proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other maintenance tools. Ability to perform vehicle maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake repairs, suspension work, wheel alignments, and general repairs efficiently. Familiarity with auto estimating software to accurately assess repair costs and communicate with customers effectively. Strong customer service skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to clients. Knowledge of automotive service standards including diesel engine repair, welding techniques, and maintenance procedures for various vehicle types. $20.00 - $40.00 per hour
