Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and professionally, establishing trust and rapport to foster repeat business. Accurately assess vehicle issues by listening carefully to customer concerns and conducting basic inspections. Write detailed service estimates using tekmetric software, clearly explaining recommended repairs and maintenance services. Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs, ensuring timely completion of services such as oil changes, brake repairs, tire services, alignments, suspension work, shocks & struts, transmissions, and engine repairs. Upsell additional services and maintenance packages that enhance vehicle performance and safety while aligning with customer needs. Manage all aspects of service writing including documenting work orders, updating repair status, and ensuring clear communication with customers throughout the process. Handle cash and card transactions accurately and responsibly during vehicle pickup or payment processing. Maintain detailed records of service history, estimates, invoices, and customer interactions for future reference. Collaborate with sales teams to assist in automobile sales when appropriate by providing technical insights and vehicle features explanations. Ensure compliance with dealership policies and automotive industry standards while delivering exceptional customer service. Experience Proven dealership experience or background in auto service management is preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on mechanic or technician experience is a significant advantage. Familiarity with automotive diagnostics tools and procedures across various systems such as transmissions, brakes, suspensions, air brakes, alignments, tire services, shocks & struts, diesel engines, and auto body repairs. Demonstrated ability in auto estimating software and service writing processes. Excellent customer service skills combined with sales aptitude for upselling maintenance services and vehicle sales. Experience handling cash and card transactions accurately and responsibly. Knowledge of automotive repair procedures including oil changes, brake repair, tire services, wheel alignments, suspension work, diesel engine repair, and other common maintenance tasks is desirable.
