QUALIFICATIONS
Journey status with 5+ years of experience in the maintenance and repair of mining equipment, heavy duty diesel, and medium fleet automotive Experience in welding and fabrication Experience troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, electrical systems, chassis, and powertrain systems Knowledge of industrial and shop safety rules, procedures, and equipment Ability to safely operate vehicles and equipment to test and troubleshoot for proper operation before and after maintenance Computer experience entering data for preparing work order and purchasing parts Ability to have reliable attendance Ability to work in a team environment and independently Possess own Journeyman level hand tools necessary to perform the functions of the job. Successfully pass pre-employment physical and drug screen Position is subject to random drug and alcohol testing
RESPONSIBILITIES
Diagnose and repair all types of gas and diesel equipment, including, but not limited to, excavators, dozers, off-road trucks, wheel loaders, water & lube trucks, service trucks, pickups, dump trucks/trailers, and other support equipment. Troubleshoot, repair, and replace ignition systems, fuel systems, hydraulic systems, lighting systems, electrical/computer control systems, radio systems, and ABS brake system Repair and overhaul engines, transmissions, differentials, PTO's and axle assemblies Perform welding and fabrication on mobile and stationary plant equipment as needed Maintain service, maintenance, and repair records Repair and maintain shop tools and machinery Prepare work orders and order parts in SAP business system Provide technical assistance, direction, and guidance to other shop employees. Assist in the training of other shop employees to perform tasks efficiently and effectively. Make emergency field repairs to all plant mobile equipment as needed Safely perform repairs in the field during inclement weather Interested employees must apply through the ADP Internal Career Center.
