  • Pay can start at a higher rate depending on Level of Experience and Expertise Ross Bus Sales, the exclusive authorized Blue Bird School Bus dealer for Louisiana, has been in the transportation business for 40 years.
We are looking for a motivated, entry-level Service Technician to join our team. If you are someone interested in an opportunity to start a career as a mechanic, this is your opportunity to work with a trusted name in the transportation industry.
What You'll Do:
  • Conduct inspections, preventive maintenance, tire changes and ensure compliance with safety and emissions standards
  • Perform beginner to intermediate diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on Blue Bird school buses and related heavy-duty equipment
  • Utilize OEM software and service manuals to troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Collaborate with a supportive team of professionals committed to quality and safety
What We're Looking For:
  • 1-3 years of experience working on heavy-duty equipment (trucks, buses, construction equipment, or similar) with ambition to learn and advance
  • Diagnostic and mechanical skills
  • Willingness to learn, grow and adapt to new or unfamiliar procedures, job types, and safety requirements
  • ASE or OEM certifications are a plus (but not required)
  • CDL-B or ability to obtain one is preferred
