Commercial Truck and Trailer Repair Technician

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Commercial Truck and Trailer Repair Technician, where you will play a vital role in maintaining and repairing a wide range of heavy-duty vehicles and equipment. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting with disassembling damaged areas, repairing and replacing parts, welding/fabrication and ensuring the overall quality of the repair work. Responsibilities Inspect trailers for structural integrity and safety compliance. Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and structural issues on semi-trailers. Utilize power tools effectively for repairs and fabrication tasks. Align, weld, solder, and fabricate components as needed to restore trailers to optimal condition. Operate industrial equipment safely while performing maintenance tasks. Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency. Collaborate with team members to complete projects in a timely manner. Experience Proven mechanic experience working with commercial trucks and trailers in a dealership or fleet maintenance environment. Hands-on experience with automotive diagnostics tools and understanding of schematics for electrical troubleshooting. Familiarity with heavy equipment operation including forklifts, tractors-trailers, and other commercial machinery. Skilled in welding (including MIG/TIG), fabrication techniques, tire service operations, and the use of hand tools and power tools. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all repair tasks. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while working in various environmental conditions; experience with vehicle assembly or equipment repair is a plus.
