Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our dynamic service team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive mechanical knowledge and technical proficiency in diagnosing and repairing a wide range of vehicle systems. This role offers the opportunity to work with advanced automotive diagnostic tools, perform complex repairs, and deliver exceptional customer service. The Automotive Technician will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing vehicles to ensure optimal performance and safety, with a focus on quality workmanship and efficiency. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair various vehicle systems including powertrain, transmission, suspension, and electrical. Utilize automotive diagnostic tools and schematics to identify issues accurately. Perform vehicle maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake repairs, wheel alignments, and system inspections. Repair or replace vehicle components using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and specialized automotive repair equipment. Interpret automotive wiring diagrams and electrical system schematics for troubleshooting complex electrical issues. Conduct repairs on all makes/models as required. Maintain detailed records of repairs performed and communicate findings effectively to customers. Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications. Assist in estimating repair costs and providing excellent customer service throughout the repair process. Requirements Proven experience as an Automotive Technician or Service Technician with dealership or independent shop background preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems including powertrain, transmissions, vehicle suspension systems, electrical systems. Proficiency with automotive diagnostic tools and ability to interpret schematics and wiring diagrams. Experience with wheel alignment, vehicle transmission system repair, and vehicle maintenance procedures. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and auto estimating software. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with strong customer service abilities. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Valid driver's license; ASE certification or equivalent is preferred but not mandatory.
