Bonus Responsibilities:

Diagnose the cause of vehicle malfunction and perform repair; communicate with the parts department to obtain needed parts. Perform work as outlined on repair order in accordance with dealership and factory standards. Communicate with the service advisor immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time. Road tests vehicles when required or refers to the test technician; determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended. Document all work performed and recommended on the repair order. Supervise apprentice technicians as assigned Reports machinery defects or malfunctions to the supervisor. Maintain cleanliness of customer vehicles and workspace / body shop area Examines assigned vehicles to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended. Ensures that customers' cars are kept clean. Notifies service advisor immediately of anything that has happened to change the appearance or condition of the vehicle. Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner. Reports any safety issues immediately to management. Understand and comply with federal, state and local regulations, such as hazardous waste disposal, use of tools/equipment, OSHA Right-to-Know, etc; report any safety issues to management Other tasks as assigned. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Previous Technician Training Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record
