Welder / Tank Truck Technician - Boston Steel, a division of
Tremcar USA Location:
Haverhill, MA 01832 |
Position:
Full-Time (40 hours) |
Schedule:
Monday-Friday 5:30AM-2:00PM, 8-hour shifts

Position Summary:
We are seeking a Welder / Tank Truck Technician to assist in the fabrication, repair, and maintenance of tank trailers. This role combines hands-on welding, machinery operation, and general service support to ensure trailers are safe, functional, and built to high standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform welding tasks, including aluminum welding using MIG and TIG techniques, as well as basic and advanced welding as needed. Operate press brake machines, sheers, rigging equipment, and other shop machinery. Support the production and service team with repairs, part replacements, and assembly tasks. Read and interpret basic blueprints to assist in fabrication and assembly tasks. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Follow instructions from the managment for all current projects.
Qualifications:
Prior welding experience required, specifically aluminum welding using MIG and TIG. Basic knowledge of automotive electrical systems is a plus. Experience operating shop machinery (press brake, sheers) preferred. Familiarity with hydraulic systems is a plus. Ability to read and follow basic blueprints. Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship. Self-motivated, team-oriented, and able to work independently. Must have your own basic hand tools. OSHA, confined space, and hot works certifications are a plus. Pay based on experience and certifications.
