Job Description
Job Summary The Butler Corporation is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Wash Bay and Vehicle Preparation Technician. This position is responsible for cleaning and detailing Butler System vans and trucks, preparing completed vehicles for customer delivery, assisting with light assembly work, and helping maintain a clean, organized facility. The right candidate will take pride in their work, pay close attention to detail, and be comfortable working in a hands-on shop environment. Prior professional detailing or mechanical experience is helpful, but we are willing to train a reliable individual with a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn. Primary Responsibilities Wash, clean, and detail new and used vans, trucks, and equipment Prepare completed Butler System vehicles for customer pickup and delivery Clean vehicle interiors, cargo areas, windows, wheels, and exterior surfaces Remove dust, fingerprints, adhesive residue, protective materials, and other debris from completed installations Apply dressings, cleaners, waxes, and other detailing products as needed Inspect finished vehicles and identify areas requiring additional cleaning or attention Assist with light mechanical and assembly work Install or assemble basic vehicle accessories, brackets, shelving, racks, and related components Move vehicles throughout the facility and parking areas Maintain the wash bay, shop areas, tools, and cleaning equipment Assist with general facility maintenance, cleaning, trash removal, and snow removal when needed Restock cleaning supplies and notify management when materials need to be reordered Follow company procedures and maintain a clean, professional work environment Assist other departments with general shop tasks as needed Qualifications Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently Strong attention to detail Willingness to perform a variety of cleaning, detailing, assembly, and maintenance tasks Comfortable working around vans, trucks, machinery, tools, water, and cleaning chemicals Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Basic familiarity with hand tools is preferred Automotive detailing, maintenance, assembly, construction, or shop experience is helpful, but not required Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record Ability to drive full-size vans and trucks Ability to work cooperatively as part of a team Physical Requirements This is an active, hands-on position.
