B Mechanic - Full-Time Fleetfirst Norton, MA Job Details Full-time $24.00 - $35.05 an hour Benefits Paid time off Qualifications Experience working in the automotive repair industry Hand tools Full Job Description FleetFirst Van and Bus Sales, a commercial and specialty vehicle dealership in Norton, MA, is hiring a full-time B Mechanic to join our shop team. You'll work alongside our lead mechanic on vans, buses, school buses, and other commercial vehicles, handling brake work, front-end repairs, routine maintenance, and supporting our vehicle reconditioning process. We're looking for someone who can take direction when needed but is comfortable working independently on assigned jobs.
Responsibilities:
Perform brake service, including pads, rotors, and basic brake system repair Diagnose and repair front-end/suspension issues — ball joints, tie rods, struts, control arms, wheel bearings Complete oil changes and routine fluid maintenance Perform general minor repairs and diagnostics Service belts, hoses, and basic electrical/AC components Remove and reinstall seats and interior components for refurbishment projects Support vehicle reconditioning to prepare units for sale Assist with general shop tasks as needed
Qualifications:
B-level mechanic experience required Strong working knowledge of brakes, front-end/suspension systems, and general vehicle maintenance Must have own set of hand tools Clean driving record required (may be asked to move or test-drive vehicles on the lot) Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently with minimal supervision Experience with vans, buses, or commercial vehicles is a plus but not required
