Job Description

Automotive Service & Lot Assistant Interauto is looking to hire an Automotive Service & Lot Assistant for a hands-on position at our dealership. This is not a basic receptionist role and not a full mechanic position. We are looking for someone who is reliable, organized, comfortable around cars, and able to help with a mix of service-related questions, light vehicle work, and daily dealership operations. Responsibilities include answering basic service questions, helping coordinate service/repair updates, moving vehicles, bringing vehicles for Massachusetts state inspection when needed, checking vehicles in and out, assisting with inventory, and performing minor vehicle-related tasks such as replacing wipers, bulbs, topping off fluids, checking tire pressures, jump-starting vehicles, and other light-duty items as needed. The ideal candidate should have basic automotive knowledge, a valid driver's license, a clean/reasonable driving record, strong communication skills, and the ability to stay productive without needing constant supervision. This position requires someone who can switch between customer communication, service coordination, and hands-on lot work throughout the day. Starting pay is $20 per hour . This is a starting position with room to grow. Pay may be reviewed after we evaluate performance, reliability, skill level, and overall value to the dealership.
Requirements:
Valid driver's license Comfortable driving different vehicles Basic automotive knowledge Ability to perform minor vehicle tasks such as wipers, bulbs, tire pressure, fluids, etc. Good communication skills Reliable attendance Ability to stay organized in a busy dealership environment Willingness to help wherever needed This is a good opportunity for someone who wants to grow in the automotive business and is willing to learn both the service and dealership operations side.
