Position Overview The Quirk Commercial Truck Center, located in the Fore River Shipyards, is hiring a mobile mechanic. We will provide a completely up-fitted service van stocked with tools. Our ideal applicant will have heavy-duty truck repair experience, a clean driving record, and dealership experience. We will cover the cost of a DOT medical card. Our mobile mechanic will be responsible for on-site warranty repairs, maintenance, and performing recalls on Ford, Stellantis, and GM products.
Key Required Proficiencies:
Using Diagnostic Equipment and Special Service tools to test vehicle components Test driving heavy-duty vehicles for diagnosis and repair verification Diagnosing heavy-duty vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, suspension, brakes, steering, electrical, air conditioning, etc Providing the Service Advisor with an estimate of any additional repairs needed
Preferred Skills:
Minimum 1 year experience working on vehicles Establish and maintain relationships with customers Assess individual client needs and think of innovative ways to get results Experience in managing and organizing work time and work-related activities Excellent interpersonal skills A positive attitude Strong willingness to learn Benefits offered: Health, Dental/Vision, 401K, Long-Term Disability, Life Insurance and Critical Illness Insurance.
