Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated Automotive Technician Assistant to join our dynamic service team. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in automotive repair and maintenance within a professional dealership environment. The ideal candidate will support senior technicians with various tasks, develop mechanical skills, and deepen their understanding of vehicle systems. Prior dealership experience and familiarity with automotive diagnostics, electrical systems, and powertrain components are preferred but not required. This role is essential for ensuring efficient service operations and delivering exceptional customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Assist senior technicians in diagnosing and repairing a variety of vehicles, including GM models and diesel engines. Support with vehicle maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks. Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to perform repairs and modifications under supervision. Help with complex repairs involving transmissions, powertrain components, alignments, and electrical systems. Read schematics and automotive diagnostics to aid in troubleshooting vehicle issues. Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure safety and efficiency. Prepare vehicles for inspections or further repairs by performing preliminary assessments. Support with vehicle inspections, detailing, and minor body work as needed. Collaborate with team members to meet service deadlines while providing excellent customer service. $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
