Job Description
LifeStar Response is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic, skilled Fleet Mechanic to help keep our ambulance fleet safe, reliable, and road-ready. This role focuses on preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on gas and diesel emergency vehicles and related systems. What You'll Do
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on company ambulances and support vehicles
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and computer-controlled systems
- Service brakes (including air brakes), engines, transmissions, steering, suspension, and drivetrains
- Complete routine maintenance (oil changes, filters, fluids, belts, tires, hoses)
- Repair or replace components in cooling, exhaust/emissions, hydraulic, air, and electrical systems
- Maintain accurate service logs and maintenance records
- Keep tools, equipment, and work areas clean and organized
- Support other maintenance tasks as assigned What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent (trade school or technical training preferred)
- Prior experience as a fleet or automotive mechanic
- Working knowledge of gas and diesel engines and vehicle systems
- Valid driver's license Physical & Work Environment Frequent standing, bending, lifting, and working in various weather conditions.
