Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately. Conduct repairs on powertrain components, transmissions, diesel engines, and other mechanical systems utilizing hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and specialized automotive repair techniques. Execute vehicle maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake repairs, wheel alignments, and suspension work to ensure optimal vehicle performance. Utilize auto estimating software to assess repair needs and communicate effectively with customers about necessary services and costs. Repair and calibrate ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) features like lane departure warnings and collision avoidance systems to enhance vehicle safety. Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical problems efficiently. Maintain a clean, organized workspace while adhering to safety standards and procedures at all times. Requirements Proven dealership or service technician experience with a strong background in automotive diagnostics and repair. Hands-on experience working with GM vehicles or similar makes is highly desirable. Knowledge of automotive electrical systems, powertrain components, transmissions, and diesel engine repair. Proficiency with schematics, automotive service manuals, and diagnostic software tools. Mechanical knowledge combined with practical skills in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and alignment machines. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to clearly explain repairs and recommendations to clients. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards. Valid mechanic license or certification preferred; ongoing training or certifications in ADAS or automotive electrical systems are a plus.
