Mechanic

Schedule Openings Available on: 1st Shift 2nd Shift Overtime and weekend work may be required based on production needs. Position Summary Holly Poultry is seeking skilled and dependable Maintenance Mechanics to support the operation of our production facility by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing plant equipment and machinery. This role is responsible for minimizing downtime, ensuring equipment reliability, and supporting safe and efficient production operations. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and processing equipment Perform preventative maintenance on machinery and facility equipment Diagnose mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic electrical issues Repair conveyors, motors, gearboxes, pumps, belts, chains, and related equipment Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime Inspect machinery and identify potential maintenance concerns before failures occur Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and work orders Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records Follow all company safety policies, including Lockout/Tagout procedures Maintain a clean and organized work area Work collaboratively with production and sanitation teams to support operations Assist with equipment installations and facility improvement projects as needed Qualifications Previous maintenance mechanic experience in manufacturing, food production, warehouse, or industrial environment preferred Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Experience working with mechanical systems and industrial machinery Basic electrical knowledge preferred Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong attendance and reliability required Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and lift throughout the shift Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Comfortable working in hot, cold, wet, and fast-paced production environments Ability to safely work around moving machinery and equipment Benefits Holly Poultry offers a competitive compensation and benefits package, including: Medical, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off 401(k) with company match Career growth opportunities Weekly pay Equal Opportunity Employer Holly Poultry is an Equal Opportunity Employer and is committed to creating an inclusive workplace for all employees.
