Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Technician to join our service team. In this role, you will perform comprehensive vehicle diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance to ensure optimal vehicle performance and safety. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, proficiency with automotive electrical systems, and experience working with a variety of vehicle makes and models, including GM and import vehicles. Your expertise will contribute to delivering exceptional automotive service that exceeds customer expectations while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency. Responsibilities Conduct thorough diagnostics using advanced automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately. Perform repairs and maintenance on various vehicle systems, including powertrain, transmissions, electrical systems, and diesel engines. Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical problems. Execute wheel alignments, ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) calibrations, and other precision services. Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and specialized automotive repair tools to complete tasks efficiently. Interpret auto estimating software to determine necessary repairs and communicate findings effectively to customers. Maintain detailed service records, ensuring all work complies with manufacturer specifications and safety standards. Assist in vehicle inspections, routine maintenance, and component replacements to uphold vehicle reliability. Support team members with technical guidance on automotive electrical systems and mechanical repairs. Ensure adherence to dealership or shop policies regarding safety procedures and quality assurance. Experience Proven dealership or service shop experience as an Automotive Technician or Service Technician. Demonstrated expertise in automotive diagnostics, repair procedures, and maintenance practices. Familiarity with schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals for various vehicle systems. Hands-on experience working with ADAS calibration, wheel alignment equipment, and powertrain components. Knowledge of GM vehicles is preferred but not mandatory; experience with diesel engine repair is advantageous. Strong mechanical aptitude complemented by excellent customer service skills. Ability to operate auto estimating software effectively for accurate job costing. Prior experience with automotive electrical systems, transmissions, welding techniques, and auto estimating is highly desirable.
