Job Description

Overview An automotive C technician (entry-level or apprentice mechanic) performs routine vehicle maintenance, basic repairs, and multi-point inspections under general supervision. Key duties include oil and filter changes, tire rotations and repairs, and basic brake or suspension services.
Duties Routine Maintenance:
Change engine oil, replace fluid filters, top off fluids, and swap batteries or wiper blades.
Tire Services:
Mount, balance, rotate, and repair tires.
Basic Inspections:
Conduct visual brake checks, safety inspections, and multi-point vehicle health checks.
Quality Control:
Road test vehicles to verify basic drivability and ensure standard repairs were done correctly.
Shop Upkeep:
Keep work bays clean, handle tools safely, and properly dispose of old parts or waste fluids.
Requirements Education:
High school diploma or enrollment in/completion of a vocational technical school auto program.
Experience:
0 to 1 year of hands-on automotive repair experience or an equivalent apprenticeship.
Certifications:
Valid driver's license; ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certifications (such as G1 Maintenance and Light Repair or Brakes) are preferred.
Tools:
Basic hand tools appropriate for an entry-level skill set.

$17.00 - $22.00 per hour
