MD State Inspector / Automotive Technician Silver Spring Auto & Fuel - Silver Spring, MD 13335 New Hampshire Ave (corner of Randolph Rd) Full-Time | Commission Pay (50/50 Split) Silver Spring Auto & Fuel is a busy, well-located shop looking for a Maryland State Inspector or experienced automotive technician to join our team. We're at a high-traffic intersection with a steady flow of work, so there's plenty of opportunity to stay productive and earn. We're set up to let technicians focus on the work. We have a full-time service writer handling customers and workflow, and inspectors get their own dedicated bay. What We Offer 50/50 commission structure Consistent, high car count (no waiting for work) Dedicated bay for inspection work Service writer handles estimates and customer communication Shop covers overhead and support Responsibilities Perform Maryland State vehicle inspections Complete general repairs (brakes, oil changes, tires, etc.) Diagnose mechanical issues and complete repairs efficiently Document inspections and repairs accurately Requirements Maryland State Inspector license preferred (or ability to obtain) Experience as an automotive technician or mechanic Strong diagnostic and repair skills Able to work in a fast-paced environment Reliable and consistent
