In this dynamic role, you will conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to verify adherence to safety standards, mechanical integrity, and regulatory requirements. Earn commission on your work. Your expertise will help maintain high-quality automotive standards, promote safe driving practices, and support vehicle owners in maintaining their vehicles' optimal performance. Duties Perform comprehensive inspections of passenger vehicles, including standard operation checks and mechanical assessments Verify vehicle compliance with state safety regulations and issue inspection certificates accordingly Conduct vehicle maintenance evaluations, including tire changes, brake inspections, and electrical system checks Utilize hand tools, power tools, and automotive repair equipment to assess and repair mechanical systems as needed Identify and document issues related to automotive parts, accessories, and systems such as auto body repairs or electrical components Assist vehicle owners by explaining inspection findings, recommending repairs or maintenance, and providing excellent customer service Complete detailed auto estimating reports for repairs or adjustments required after inspections Conduct heavy lifting when necessary to access undercarriage or engine components during inspections or repairs Skills Strong knowledge of standard passenger car operation and automotive systems Mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in vehicle maintenance and repair techniques Proficiency in automotive tire changes, auto body repairs, electrical systems, and mechanical systems repair Familiarity with automotive parts, accessories, and auto restoration processes Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and specialized automotive equipment efficiently and safely Excellent customer service skills with clear communication abilities Experience with auto estimating software and detailed documentation of vehicle inspections Mechanic experience that includes diagnosing issues and performing repairs across different automotive systems This role is perfect for motivated individuals passionate about automotive safety who thrive in a fast-paced environment.
