Position:
Automotive Dismantling Technician/Mechanic Pay:
$25•$35/hour depending on experience
Hours:
7:00am•3:30pm•
M-F Location:
Westminster, MD Contract to hire Must have a valid Driver's License Responsibilities Associates in this category are assigned to a specified assembly station to perform tasks from preparing a vehicle for modification through the assembly process to a completed unit Production Associates are required to train on multiple assembly stations and will be assigned to stations as required by the production schedule Some Production Associates may specialize in certain stations or tasks, but all are required to be flexible and trained on multiple stations This position reports to a Line Supervisor and then to the Plant Manager Perform station specific production tasks such as: Prepare vehicle for conversion process by removing interior component Cut out/ removal of bumper and floor Reroute electrical harnesses Assemble and install conversion components Installation of vehicle seats, flooring, and interior panels Assemble and install electrical harnesses and other components Assemble and install gas tank assemblies Installation and testing of vehicle air conditioning units Utilization of work order processing software Participate in departmental meetings and training Abide by all OSHA safety requirements including use of personal protective equipment (PPE) Be advised this Position Description does not contain an all-inclusive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee in this position Other duties will be assigned to further the company's sales performance and growth The Production Associate position is a full-time, hourly, FLSA non-exempt position Tear Down Technician Ideal candidates are individuals who enjoy taking vehicles apart while protecting reusable components. Candidates with experience working in automotive salvage yards, junkyards, auto recycling facilities, collision repair shops, or restoration shops often transition well into this role. Automotive dismantlers, parts pullers, or anyone experienced with vehicle disassembly and using hand and power tools would also be a good fit. Primary Responsibilities Perform station specific production tasks such as: Prepare vehicle for conversion process by removing interior component. Cut out/ removal of bumper and floor. Reroute electrical harnesses. Assemble and install conversion components. Installation of vehicle seats, flooring, and interior panels. Assemble and install electrical harnesses and other components. Assemble and install gas tank assemblies. Installation and testing of vehicle air conditioning units. Utilization of work order processing software. Participate in departmental meetings and training.
