Job Description

Goodwin Motor Group, a family-owned Maine auto group, is seeking a skilled GM Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain GM vehicles in a fast-paced, customer-focused shop. In this on-site role, you'll perform accurate diagnostics, routine maintenance, and complex repairs while following GM and dealership standards. You'll use modern diagnostic equipment, complete repair orders efficiently, and help ensure every vehicle is safe and reliable. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair GM vehicles to manufacturer specifications Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and safety checks Use diagnostic tools and software to troubleshoot issues Complete repair orders accurately and on time Follow dealership and GM repair procedures and standards Communicate findings and repair needs to service advisors and customers Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area Participate in ongoing GM and dealership training programs Test drive vehicles to verify repairs and performance Uphold Goodwin Motor Group's customer-first, integrity-focused culture Required Skills Automotive diagnostics GM vehicle systems Engine repair Brake systems Electrical systems troubleshooting Transmission and drivetrain service Use of scan tools and diagnostic software Preventive maintenance Service documentation Safety and OSHA compliance
