Job Description

Overview Norway Auto Sales and Service is looking for someone who can work on several cars that need different types of care. If you have skills in mechanical repairs, painting, or general car projects. This job offers the chance to work on various vehicles, handling everything from do mechanical and body work to applying fresh coats of paint. We offer two ways to get paid: either by project or weekly, depending on what works best for you. This flexibility allows you to choose the payment method that suits your schedule and needs. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive vehicle inspections to identify mechanical, electrical, and safety issues using automotive diagnostics tools. Perform repairs and maintenance on engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, steering systems, and other critical components. Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex systems such as ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), diesel engines, and automotive electrical systems. Service vehicle systems including oil changes, tire rotations, wheel alignments, shocks & struts, and wheel balancing to ensure optimal performance. Repair or replace auto body components when necessary, including welding and other auto body repair techniques. Use hand tools and power tools efficiently to disassemble and reassemble vehicle parts with precision. Maintain detailed service records, complete auto estimating tasks accurately, and communicate clearly with customers about repairs needed and completed work. Experience Proven experience working as an automotive mechanic in a dealership or independent shop environment. Familiarity with dealership-specific systems such as GM vehicles or similar brands is preferred. Strong knowledge of automotive repair techniques across various systems including powertrain, air brake systems, alignment, suspension, and tire service. Experience diagnosing complex electrical issues and working with automotive schematics is highly desirable. Hands-on experience with diesel engine repair, powertrain components, and advanced automotive electrical systems. Ability to operate welding equipment for auto body repairs when necessary.
