Job Summary Wireless Construction, Inc. is seeking a skilled and dependable Fleet/Equipment Mechanic to join our team in Standish, Maine. This position is responsible for the inspection, maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of a diverse fleet of vehicles and heavy equipment. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, and experience working on diesel-powered equipment, trucks, trailers, and construction machinery. Key Responsibilities Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on fleet vehicles, trailers, and heavy equipment. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and HVAC system issues. Repair and maintain diesel engines, transmissions, suspension systems, air brake systems, and hydraulic components. Conduct tire service, brake repairs, and equipment inspections. Utilize diagnostic equipment, hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to complete repairs. Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and repair documentation. Fabricate or modify parts and components as needed. Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records. Follow all company safety procedures and industry best practices. Collaborate with team members to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime. Qualifications Previous experience as a mechanic, fleet technician, diesel technician, or heavy equipment mechanic required. Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills. Knowledge of diesel engines, electrical systems, hydraulics, and heavy equipment repair. Ability to read and interpret technical schematics and service manuals. Experience with OEM parts and maintenance procedures. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Ability to safely lift and move heavy equipment and components. Valid driver's license required. CDL and/or industry certifications are a plus. Preferred Experience 1-2 years of mechanical experience preferred. Experience working on construction equipment, commercial trucks, trailers, forklifts, and other fleet vehicles.
