Job Description

Talascend is currently seeking a Fleet Technician for an opportunity in Auburn Hills, Michigan . Overview This role supports vehicle fleet operations and engineering activities, combining fleet coordination, hands-on vehicle work, prototype support, and administrative responsibilities. The individual will manage a variety of vehicles, including gas, hybrid, electric, production, and prototype vehicles. Responsibilities Manage and coordinate the vehicle fleet. Support engineering teams with part installations and fitment checks. Perform basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting. Assist with vehicle software updates. Coordinate vehicle scheduling and availability. Track and maintain vehicle registrations, insurance, tabs, and compliance requirements. Coordinate vehicle deliveries to suppliers and facilities. Document installation results, fitment concerns, and engineering feedback. Communicate findings with engineering teams and suppliers. Qualifications Automotive Technician Degree, Automotive Technical Associate Degree, or Automotive Technical Certificate (manager open to candidates without automotive degree if they have significant relevant experience).
Preferred:
2- 5 years of relevant experience. Strong automotive mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience. Understanding of vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, and control modules. Experience with automotive diagnostics and troubleshooting. Familiarity with OBD diagnostics and standard automotive repair practices. Ability to perform part installations, fitment checks, and basic wiring modifications. Experience troubleshooting electrical and electronic vehicle issues. Strong organizational and communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Demonstrated ability to perform the duties of this position through relevant experience, training, or education. We thank all applicants for their interest.
