Job Description
Blue Lakes Charters & Tours is looking for a motivated, dependable, and detail-oriented Entry Level Mechanic who is eager to learn the trade and build a long-term career. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with some mechanical experience who wants to continue developing their skills while working alongside experienced technicians. We offer hands-on training, a stable work environment, and opportunities for advancement. Responsibilities Perform light maintenance and repair tasks, including: Bus interior repairs Windshield wiper replacement Interior and exterior light repairs Tire repairs, mounting, balancing, and replacements Minor mechanical repairs Assist senior mechanics with the diagnosis and repair of engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, steering, and other vehicle systems. Perform preventative maintenance, including fluid checks, filter changes, and inspections. Inspect tires for wear, damage, and proper inflation. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Accurately document repairs and maintenance performed on vehicles. Follow all company safety procedures and shop policies. Work effectively as part of a team to keep our fleet operating safely and reliably. Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. Some mechanical experience is preferred. Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems. Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn. Ability to follow instructions and work independently when needed. Positive attitude and strong work ethic. Good communication and teamwork skills. Must provide your own basic hand tools. Valid driver's license preferred.
