Overview Join our dynamic automotive team as a Certified Auto Mechanic and become a vital part of delivering exceptional vehicle repair and maintenance services. In this role, you will leverage your expertise to diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of vehicles, ensuring safety, reliability, and customer satisfaction. Your mechanical skills and knowledge of automotive systems will drive the success of our service department, providing top-tier service that keeps our customers confidently on the road. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately. Conduct repairs on powertrain components, transmissions, diesel engines, and other critical vehicle systems with precision and efficiency. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and alignment machines to execute repairs and maintenance tasks effectively. Service vehicles by performing routine maintenance such as oil changes, brake inspections, tire rotations, and fluid replacements to ensure optimal performance. Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex problems related to ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), electrical systems, and vehicle electronics. Maintain detailed service records, prepare auto estimates for repairs, and communicate clearly with customers about their vehicle's condition and recommended services. Stay current with industry advancements including dealership-specific procedures, GM vehicle protocols, and new automotive repair techniques to enhance service quality. Qualifications Proven experience as an auto mechanic with dealership or service shop background with at least 5 years experience. Certification as a licensed auto mechanic from an accredited program or organization. Extensive knowledge of automotive diagnostics, electrical systems, powertrain components, transmissions, and diesel engine repair. Skilled in using schematics, diagnostic software, hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and alignment machines. Demonstrated ability to perform automotive repair tasks efficiently while maintaining high quality standards. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to clients. Prior experience with auto estimating software and understanding of automotive service procedures is advantageous. Join us in delivering outstanding automotive care! Pay:
$28.00 - $35.00 per hour
