Put your automotive experience to use in real-world customer support for our product line. Following our troubleshooting flowcharts, tech articles, videos and wiring diagrams, we have an answer for virtually any vehicle install. Having a mechanical knowledge background as a professional or hobbyist mechanic will make this position an easy transition. Assist the NVU team by performing various office tasks to help our sales, technical, purchasing and logistics departments.
QUALIFICATIONS
Strong vehicle knowledge. Experience in professional or hobbyist mechanic. Knowledge of different vehicle makes and sub-models, and popular classic vehicles. Ability to troubleshoot following our internal process using flowcharts and internal step-by-step guides. Good computer office skills. Using Microsoft office (word, excel, etc). Ability to type at a moderate pace for emailing information to customers and vendors. Most programs are web-based, comfortable with using multiple tabs at once to copy and paste information. Good phone manners and helpful attitude.
PLUSES:
QuickBooks, Asana, BigCommerce and shipping experience. Previous mechanical knowledge of vehicles professional or personal.
Job duties:
8am-9am: Checking email for new information, priority items. Check Asana (our internal project management software), prioritizing items as needed.
Processing orders:
Acknowledging and checking our various inbound orders locations, accepting and checking orders as they come in for correct pricing. 9am-11
AM:
Shipping orders at are completed using our internal processes. We bill with QuickBooks and ship with Shippo. 11-12 LUNCH 12-1PM Checking in additional orders, cutoff time is noon for orders to be built the next day. Preparing barcodes for orders to be built. 12-4 Afternoon has different tasks depending on the day of the week/month Every day: Handling sales and technical support calls for pre-and post-sales assistance.
Pre-sales:
Able to recommend products that will work with the potential user's vehicle and powertrain, using our complete parts list to generate a "package: just for them.
Post sales:
Technical support in installing our product in their vehicle using our internal guides and diagrams. Following our internal troubleshooting process, help installers get their gauges installed and going. In the vent of an issue, generate warranty number, return label and proper processing if items using internal processes.
Weekly/Monthly:
These are tasks that we do occasionally that are part of this department. Checking into QuickBooks inbound raw materials and supplied from signed in packing slips Checking and following up on Purchase orders that have been sent to vendors. Checking that they have bene acknowledged and have been processed properly.
Minor website maintenance:
Correcting pricing, errors, etc using BigCommerce DIY interface.
Commission:
In addition to base pay, this position offers commission on sales. (indeed, does not have anywhere else to put this information)
Pay:
$19.00 - $20.00 per hour
