In this role, you will leverage your mechanical expertise to diagnose, repair, and service a wide range of vehicles, ensuring safety, reliability, and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately. Conduct repairs on various vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, powertrains, suspensions, brakes, shocks & struts, and steering components. Execute routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire service, wheel alignments, and vehicle inspections to uphold safety standards. Repair and replace auto body parts, perform welding when necessary, and handle auto estimating for repairs. Service diesel engines and work with ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) to calibrate and repair modern driver-assist features. Utilize hand tools and power tools efficiently for mechanical repairs while adhering to safety protocols. Read and interpret automotive schematics and technical manuals to ensure precise repairs on GM vehicles or other makes. Maintain detailed documentation of repairs performed and communicate effectively with customers about their vehicle's condition and recommended services. Experience Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in automotive repair across various systems. Dealership experience is highly preferred, especially familiarity with GM vehicles or similar brands. Knowledge of automotive diagnostics software and electrical systems troubleshooting. Hands-on experience with ADAS calibration, air brake systems, transmissions, suspension components, and wheel alignment procedures. Skilled in working with diesel engines, powertrain components, auto body repairs, welding techniques, and tire service. Familiarity with automotive estimating processes and customer service principles to ensure a positive client experience.
