Job Description

Summary:
The Field Service Diesel Technician plays a crucial role in supporting fleets at customer locations. The Field Service Diesel Technician has the ability to work on Freightliner/Western Star, Detroit, Cummins and Autocar.
    Scheduled Maintenance Inspections:
    Conduct routine inspections as per maintenance schedules to ensure vehicles are in optimal condition and comply with safety standards.
      Preventive Maintenance Requirements:
      Execute preventive maintenance tasks to prevent potential issues and ensure the longevity of fleet vehicles.
        Diagnosing and Correcting Vehicle Deficiencies:
        Identify and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and other issues in fleet vehicles, and implement effective solutions to address them promptly.
          Making Appropriate Adjustments and Alignments:
          Perform adjustments and alignments to various vehicle components such as brakes, suspension, steering, and engine systems to maintain performance and safety standards.
            Maintaining Records of Work:
            Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, parts used, and any other relevant information to track vehicle history and ensure compliance with regulations.
            Minimum Qualifications:
            • Technician experience, qualified to perform work on most or all of products in-scope for a technician at this dealer.
            • Complex diagnosis and repair.
            • Work with minimal to no supervision.
            • Effective customer service skills, self-motivated, responsible with strong work ethic.
            • Locally valid driver licenses.
            • CDL preferred but not required.
            • Must be a minimum 21 years of age.
