• Full-time BMT is looking to add a dependable Trailer / Reefer Technician to our shop team.

We are a smaller OTR trucking company operating across all 48 states, and our shop plays a major role in keeping our equipment safe, reliable, and ready for the road. Our drivers depend on well-maintained trailers and reefers every day, and we are looking for someone who takes pride in doing repairs safely, correctly, and the right way the first time. This position is a good fit for someone with trailer, reefer, diesel, or general shop experience. Experience with refrigerated units is strongly preferred, but we are willing to train the right person if they are mechanically inclined, dependable, motivated, and serious about learning.

Responsibilities Responsibilities may include:

Performing trailer inspections, maintenance, and repairs Working on brakes, lights, suspension, doors, body components, and other trailer systems Performing DOT-related repairs and safety checks Inspecting, maintaining, and assisting with repairs on reefer units Diagnosing trailer and reefer issues Completing repairs safely, correctly, and efficiently Helping keep equipment road-ready and compliant Communicating with the shop team about repair progress, parts needs, and equipment concerns Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work area Working with the team to keep trucks, trailers, and reefers moving Qualifications The right candidate should have: Trailer, reefer, diesel, or shop experience preferred Reefer experience is a strong plus Mechanical ability and willingness to learn Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic Ability to diagnose issues and complete repairs properly Safety-first mindset Ability to work independently and as part of a team Willingness to take pride in quality work Basic hand tools preferred What We're Looking For At BMT, we are looking for someone who shows up, works hard, and cares about doing the job right.
