Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive service and repair, with a focus on GM vehicles. This role requires mechanical knowledge and the ability to work with both hand tools and power tools. As an Automotive Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring that vehicles operate safely and efficiently, in a quick timely manner. Duties Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on various vehicles, primarily GM models. Utilize hand tools and power tools to perform repairs and maintenance tasks. Read and interpret schematics to understand vehicle systems and components. Conduct routine maintenance services, including oil changes, brake replacements, and tire rotations. Weld components as necessary to ensure structural integrity of vehicles. Collaborate with team members in a dealership environment to provide high-quality service. Maintain accurate records of repairs performed and parts used. Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques. Requirements Proven experience as an Automotive Mechanic or similar role. Have all own tools required to perform a majority of jobs, included but not limited to specialty tools for diagnostics. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues. Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment. Experience working with GM vehicles is preferred but not mandatory. Ability to read schematics and technical manuals effectively. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication skills to work effectively within a team environment. A valid driver's license is required; additional certifications are a plus.
