Responsibilities Conduct regular lubrication of locomotive components using appropriate oils and greases to prevent wear and ensure smooth operation. Perform routine inspections to identify potential mechanical issues or leaks, addressing them promptly to minimize downtime. Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment such as ohmmeters to diagnose electrical systems and perform minor repairs. Assist with basic vehicle maintenance tasks including replacing filters, belts, hoses, and other small parts as needed. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including lubrication schedules, inspections, and repairs performed. Follow safety protocols diligently during all maintenance procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues. Support team efforts by communicating effectively about equipment status and any issues requiring further attention.
