• 75,000 per year AGS Auto And Truck Repair is hiring a Service Advisor for our front counter.

This is a fast-paced, customer-facing position for someone who has automotive knowledge, enjoys working with people, and can follow through from the first phone call to the final invoice. We are not looking for someone to just sit at a desk and take orders. We need someone who can help customers, write estimates, schedule work, order parts, communicate with technicians, present repairs, ask for approvals, and keep customers updated throughout the day. We are family-owned, family-oriented, and looking for someone who wants to be part of a team. The kind of person we want The right person for this job is friendly, motivated, organized, and willing to learn. You do not have to be a perfect service advisor already. We can train the right person. However, you do need some automotive experience or automotive knowledge. You should understand basic vehicle systems, parts, and how repair work flows through a shop. What the job actually involves This role is customer service, sales, and workflow management all together. AGS is a smaller shop, but we process a lot of cars and the day can get busy. The person in this role must be able to stay organized, take notes, follow up, and communicate clearly.

You will be responsible for:

Answering phones Greeting repair customers Greeting car lot customers when needed Scheduling appointments Writing repair orders Writing estimates Ordering parts Presenting estimates to customers Asking customers for approval Keeping customers updated during the day Sending estimates by text and email Following up on declined work Following up on technician inspections Collecting payment Closing out tickets Helping manage daily workflow Handling customer concerns professionally The top priorities every day are scheduling appointments, writing estimates, ordering parts on time, communicating with customers, and cashing out customers properly. Sales and customer communication This position requires someone who is comfortable asking for the sale. We are not looking for a pushy or dishonest salesperson. We are looking for someone who can explain repairs clearly, help customers understand why the work matters, and present needed safety repairs and maintenance in a professional way.

Necessary safety repairs General repair recommendations Transmission services Coolant services Repairs and their value in the longevity of their vehicle Reviewing the results of digital inspections A good advisor knows how to build value before just giving a price. Shop information AGS Auto and Truck Repair works primarily on Asian and domestic vehicles. Our strongest services include general repair, inspections, engine work, and transmission work. We generally avoid diesel work.

What success looks like In the first 90 days, a successful person should be learning and using Tekmetric, understanding the workflow, understanding the appointment schedule, and following up independently.

Success in this position means:

Parts are ordered on time Customers are updated Technician inspections are communicated Estimates are presented quickly Approvals are handled in a timely manner Notes are clear The front counter stays organized Customers feel taken care of The shop can keep moving AGS tracks average repair order and gross profit, so this role is vital to the success of the shop. What will not work here AGS is not the right place for someone who does not value teamwork. This job will not work for someone with poor attendance, a bad attitude, poor social skills, weak follow-up, poor note-taking, or someone who is too quiet to communicate with customers and co-workers. We do not want drama, laziness, selfishness, or someone who has to be reminded constantly to finish basic tasks.

Pay Pay range:

$25,000

• 75,000 per year Pay is salary plus commission.

A solid advisor can realistically earn around $65,000 per year, with additional earning potential as performance grows.
