Job Description

Hourly Automotive Technician Position Summary We are looking for a reliable and motivated Hourly Automotive Technician to join our team. This position focuses on routine maintenance, vehicle inspections, diagnostics, and light to moderate repair work. The ideal candidate is dependable, takes pride in quality workmanship, and is committed to delivering excellent service. Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, tire rotations, fluid services, and manufacturer-recommended maintenance. Diagnose and repair check engine lights and other drivability concerns using diagnostic equipment. Perform brake inspections and replace brake pads, rotors, calipers, and related components. Mount, balance, rotate, and repair tires. Inspect, diagnose, and repair steering and suspension systems. Complete state safety and emissions inspections (if licensed). Perform vehicle inspections and identify maintenance or repair needs. Document inspection findings and repair recommendations accurately. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Follow shop procedures and manufacturer specifications. Work as part of a team to provide efficient, high-quality service. Qualifications Automotive repair experience preferred but not required. Ability to perform maintenance, diagnostics, and general repair work independently. Experience using scan tools and diagnostic equipment. Knowledge of brakes, suspension, steering, tires, and preventive maintenance. State inspection and emissions license preferred (or willingness to obtain). ASE certifications are a plus but not required. Valid driver's license with a good driving record. Must provide your own basic hand tools. Compensation & Benefits High hourly pay based on experience.
