Job Description

Greenlights Group is recruiting a qualified and experienced individual to work with our team at Assurance Auto, Inc.

We are seeking to hire a motivated individual to work as a Certified Mechanic and help lead our team!

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive service, with proven skills in leadership, operations oversight, and customer relations.

As the Certified Mechanic, you will be responsible for overseeing standard and complex repairs on a wide variety of makes and models with no technical supervision.

This includes the diagnosis and repair of engines, transmissions, exhaust, brakes, electrical, air conditioning, and computer systems.

You may also act as a technical expert to other technicians in the shop.

The Certified Mechanic will play a critical role in the daily operations as well as the overall success of Assurance Auto, Inc.

  • Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Model a positive and interactive relationship with co-workers
  • Create and maintain a welcoming atmosphere for customers
  • Assist with enforcement and tracking of required safety standards
  • Ensure accurate record keeping and work logs
  • Assist with the appearance of the interior and exterior spaces
  • Maintain accurate inventory of tools and equipment
  • Help with tracking maintenance schedule for machines and equipment
  • Assist with inventory management and control
  • Identify challenges, address the root cause, and provide solutions
  • Adhere to company work safety policies?
  • Qualifications /
Skills:
  • Comfortable working in a mechanical shop with moderate or loud noise levels
  • Basic computer skills including typing and data entry
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, continuously stand, bend, reach, walk, sit and kneel frequently, enter/exit/drive vehicles
  • Must be 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Ability to mentor employees who are less skilled
  • Excellent communication, both written and verbal
  • Effective time management skills
  • Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to think strategically and make decisions quickly and effectively
  • Flexible and adaptable to business needs?
  • Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of auto repair experience
  • Knowledgeable in ASE certification areas including, but not limited to: Engine Repair, Drive Train/Axles, Suspension/Steering, Brakes, Electrical, Heating/Air Conditioning, Engine Performance, and Light Vehicle/Diesel
  • High School Diploma or GED (required)
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record?
