Job Description

We are looking for a dependable part-time mechanic to maintain and repair our company vehicles and equipment at our shop in Livingston. Responsibilities - Perform routine vehicle maintenance and inspections. Complete small to medium repairs, including brakes, suspension, steering, cooling systems, electrical troubleshooting, and replacement of worn components. Diagnose mechanical problems and recommend needed repairs. Primarily service Toyota vehicles, especially: Second-and third-generation Toyota Siennas - Second-and third-generation Toyota Tundras. Maintain and repair scissor lifts and tilt trailers with hydraulic dampening or resistance systems. Organize and maintain the shop, tools, parts, and supplies. Help establish an ongoing preventive-maintenance schedule for vehicles and equipment. Qualifications - Previous automotive repair and maintenance experience. Familiarity with Toyota vehicles, particularly Siennas and Tundras. Able to diagnose problems and work independently. Experience with scissor lifts, trailers, and hydraulic systems is helpful but not required—we are willing to support someone who wants to learn. Dependable, organized, and able to keep accurate maintenance records. Valid driver's license. Shop and Tools - The work will be performed at our shop in Livingston. The shop does not currently have a full-size automotive lift, so applicants must be comfortable working without one. We are willing to provide the necessary tools, or you may use your own if preferred.
