About Us We are a fast-growing rental car company serving gig-economy drivers. Our vehicles stay on the road, earn daily, and demand reliability. We are building an in-house repair shop to reduce downtime, control quality, and scale faster—and we're looking for a serious mechanic to help lead that move. If you're tired of flat-rate chaos, dealership politics, or bouncing between shops with no vision—this is different. What You'll Be Responsible For Diagnosing and repairing engines and transmissions Handling hybrid vehicle systems (battery systems, drivetrains, electrical diagnostics) Performing major repairs and preventative maintenance Accurately diagnosing issues (not guessing or parts-swapping) Keeping our rental fleet road-ready and reliable Communicating clearly with operations on vehicle status and timelines Helping establish systems and standards for our in-house shop What We're Looking For Proven experience with engine and transmission work Hands-on experience with hybrid vehicles (Toyota, Hyundai, Ford, etc.) Strong diagnostic skills (scan tools, electrical testing, real troubleshooting) Reliable, disciplined, and detail-oriented Comfortable working independently and taking ownership ASE certifications are a plus (but skill > paper) Why This Role Is Different Consistent work (no waiting on walk-ins) Fleet work instead of random customer chaos Opportunity to grow into a lead mechanic / shop manager Be part of building something from the ground up Less stress, more structure, more impact Schedule Monday-Friday (flexible hours depending on workload) Occasional Saturdays if needed (optional / discussed in advance) Compensation & Perks Competitive hourly or salary pay (based on experience) Stable workload year-round Growth opportunity as our fleet and shop expand Long-term role with a company that's scaling fast How to Apply Apply here on Indeed with: Your resume or work history Brief description of your experience with engines, transmissions, and hybrids Straight Talk This isn't a "clock in, do the bare minimum" job.
