Responsibilities Diagnose and repair automotive systems using advanced diagnostic tools and schematics, including engine, electrical, transmission, and suspension components. Perform engine repairs, powertrain work, and engine maintenance with precision and attention to detail. Conduct wheel alignments, vehicle maintenance, and safety inspections to ensure optimal vehicle performance. Interpret automotive wiring diagrams and schematics accurately to troubleshoot electrical issues effectively. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy lifting techniques safely during repairs. Follow manufacturer specifications and standard operating procedures for repairs on various vehicle makes and models. Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols related to manual handling and heavy lifting. Qualifications Proven experience as a mechanic or technician in a dealership or automotive repair shop with a focus on flat rate work. Strong knowledge of automotive electrical systems, wiring diagrams, ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), and automotive diagnostics. Skilled in the use of automotive diagnostic tools and understanding of automotive engine technology. Familiarity with Schematics, Heavy Lifting techniques, Automotive wiring diagram interpretation, and Vehicle systems troubleshooting. Hands-on experience with Automotive engine system repair, Powertrain components, and Mechanical repair. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to customers. Ability to interpret automotive service manuals and schematics accurately while working efficiently under pressure. Mechanical aptitude complemented by experience with hand tools, power tools, and maintenance procedures.
