Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Used Car Reconditioning-Service Manager to lead our vehicle refurbishment and service operations within our bustling automobile dealership. This role is vital in ensuring that all pre-owned vehicles meet the highest quality standards before they reach our customers. As a key leader, you will oversee the entire reconditioning process, coordinate with technicians, and ensure efficient workflow while maintaining exceptional customer satisfaction. Your expertise in automotive diagnostics, mechanical repair, and dealership operations will drive the success of our used vehicle sales and service excellence. Duties Manage the entire used car reconditioning process, including inspections, repairs, and detailing to ensure vehicles meet quality standards. Supervise and coordinate with service technicians, mechanics, and body shop staff to perform repairs such as oil changes, brake repairs, suspension work, tire services, transmissions, and diesel engine repairs. Utilize estimating software and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools to accurately assess repair costs and develop detailed work orders. Oversee service writing and ensure all repairs are documented thoroughly while maintaining compliance with dealership policies. Monitor workflow efficiency, prioritize tasks, and manage parts inventory to minimize turnaround time for vehicle reconditioning. Maintain excellent client communication by providing updates on vehicle status and ensuring a positive experience throughout the reconditioning process. Qualifications Proven experience in automotive repair or dealership service management with a strong background in auto diagnostics and mechanical knowledge. Familiarity in transmissions, oil changes, brake repair, suspension systems, tire services, diesel engines, shocks & struts, air brakes, alignments, and collision repair. Proficiency in estimating software and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools is highly desirable. Strong understanding of auto service management principles including customer service excellence. Previous dealership experience is required, familiarity with service writing and automotive repair processes is essential. Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team coordination; driving license required for operational mobility.
