Countryside Chevrolet is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Automotive Service Advisor to join our team. In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers seeking automotive services. You will be responsible for assessing customer needs, providing recommendations, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction throughout the service process. Your expertise in automotive diagnostics and repair will help guide customers in making informed decisions about their vehicle maintenance and repair needs. Duties Greet customers and assess their automotive service needs. Provide accurate estimates for repairs and maintenance services. Upsell additional services based on customer needs and vehicle condition. Collaborate with service technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs. Maintain detailed records of customer interactions and service history. Handle cash transactions and process payments efficiently. Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns. Stay updated on automotive technologies, trends, and best practices. Skills Dealership experience is preferred for understanding the service environment. Strong background in auto service management to oversee daily operations. Proficient in upselling techniques to enhance customer service experience. Mechanic experience is beneficial for effective communication with technicians. Knowledge of automotive diagnostics to accurately assess vehicle issues. Solid mechanical knowledge to provide sound advice on repairs and maintenance. Familiarity with vehicle maintenance protocols for various makes and models. Experience as a service technician is an asset for understanding repair processes. Excellent customer service skills to build rapport with clients. Competence in auto estimating to provide accurate cost assessments. Sales skills to promote services effectively to customers. Understanding of automotive repair processes including transmissions, oil changes, brake repairs, alignment, suspension, tire service, diesel engine repair, shocks & struts, and auto body repair. Knowledge of air brake systems is a plus for specialized vehicles. Cash handling experience for processing payments accurately.
