Job Overview Join our team as an Automotive Mechanic, where your expertise will drive vehicle performance and customer satisfaction. In this role, you will diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of vehicles, ensuring they operate safely and efficiently. Your mechanical knowledge and hands-on skills will be vital in delivering top-tier automotive service. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately. Conduct repairs on mechanical systems including engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, shocks & struts, and powertrain components. Execute routine maintenance. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical tools to complete repairs efficiently. Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex automotive electrical systems. Qualifications Proven experience working in the automotive repair industry with a strong background in dealership or independent shop environments. Extensive knowledge of automotive mechanical systems including transmissions, powertrains, suspension systems, brakes, and electrical components. Hands-on experience with diesel engine repair is highly desirable. Familiarity with automotive diagnostics software and schematics for accurate troubleshooting. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical repair tools safely and effectively. $30.00 per hour
