Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor to join our fast-paced dealership team. In this vital role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers seeking vehicle maintenance and repair services. Your enthusiasm, mechanical knowledge, and exceptional customer service skills will ensure a smooth and positive experience for every client. You will coordinate service appointments, communicate technical information clearly, and promote additional services to maximize customer satisfaction and dealership revenue. This role offers an exciting opportunity to combine automotive expertise with sales acumen in a lively, team-oriented environment. Duties Greet customers warmly and listen carefully to understand their vehicle concerns and service needs Explain repair procedures, estimates, and recommended services with clarity and transparency Write detailed service orders, accurately documenting vehicle issues, repairs needed, and parts required Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs and ensure timely completion of services Upsell additional maintenance or repair services based on vehicle diagnostics and customer needs Manage customer inquiries via phone or in person, providing updates on vehicle status and estimated completion times Handle cash transactions, process payments accurately, and maintain detailed records of all service activities Maintain comprehensive knowledge of automotive diagnostics, repairs such as transmissions, brakes, oil changes, alignments, suspension work, tire services, diesel engine repairs, shocks & struts, air brake systems, auto body repairs, and auto estimating techniques Experience Proven dealership experience as an Automotive Service Advisor or in a similar automotive service management role Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive diagnostics and repairs Familiarity with automotive repair procedures including oil changes, brake repairs, wheel alignments, suspension work, tire services, diesel engine repairs, shocks & struts replacements, auto body work, and air brake systems Experience in auto estimating software and service writing processes Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients Demonstrated ability to upsell services effectively while maintaining integrity and trust Background in mechanic work or service technician roles is highly desirable to enhance technical understanding Join our team where your automotive expertise meets energetic customer engagement!
