Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and dependable Truck Mechanic to join our team. This role is responsible for performing maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a fleet of trucks and heavy-duty vehicles to ensure safe and efficient operation. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently during overnight hours. Key Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and inspections on diesel trucks and trailers Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues Repair or replace defective parts, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and suspension systems Conduct preventative maintenance to minimize downtime Respond to breakdowns and perform emergency repairs as needed Maintain accurate service and repair records Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies Keep work area clean, organized, and safe Qualifications Proven experience as a truck or diesel mechanic Strong knowledge of diesel engines and heavy-duty vehicle systems Ability to use diagnostic tools and repair equipment Welding and fabrication experience (preferred) Valid driver's license (CDL preferred but not required) Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 75 lbs Comfortable working in various weather conditions Standing, bending, and kneeling for extended periods
