Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately. Conduct repairs on various mechanical systems including engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, shocks & struts, and powertrain components. Execute routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire services, wheel alignments, and vehicle inspections to ensure safety and performance standards are met. Repair and replace automotive parts using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy equipment mechanics techniques. Service ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) features and perform calibration procedures to ensure proper functionality. Work with diesel engines and heavy-duty vehicles by diagnosing issues related to diesel mechanics and performing necessary repairs. Read and interpret automotive schematics to troubleshoot complex mechanical or electrical problems efficiently. Maintain detailed repair records and communicate effectively with customers regarding vehicle conditions and recommended services. Skills Proven dealership experience or extensive background in automotive repair industry with a focus on quality workmanship. Strong knowledge of automotive electrical systems, auto body repair, auto estimating, and GM vehicle specifications is preferred. Expertise in ADAS calibration, air brake systems, transmissions, powertrain repairs, suspension systems, and wheel alignments. Proficiency with diagnostic tools for automotive diagnostics and familiarity with mechanical repair processes. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical repair tools safely and effectively. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to clients. Experience working on diesel engines as well as light-duty vehicles is highly desirable. Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and repair guides accurately for efficient troubleshooting.
